Frankfort, KY, The Kentucky Aviation Association (KAA) is proud to announce the appointment of Jonathan Dixon as its new Executive Director. A seasoned leader and lifelong advocate for Kentucky communities, Dixon brings a wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors, with a deep commitment to advancing aviation in the Commonwealth.
A resident of Henderson, Kentucky, Dixon has cultivated a reputation as a successful entrepreneur and public servant. He founded and led a thriving fence business for over 17 years and served four consecutive terms as President of the Indiana and Kentucky Chapter of the American Fence Association. His service extended to the national level as a member of the AFA’s Board of Governors.
Dixon’s leadership journey also includes civic engagement through the Henderson Leadership Initiative and local boards such as the Kentucky Quarter Horse Racing Commission and the Farm Bureau Board. He is a passionate community advocate and co-founder of two major charitable events benefiting local nonprofits.
During his tenure as State Representative for Henderson County, Dixon became a champion for aviation in Kentucky. He founded the Aviation Caucus in the General Assembly, co-chaired the Transportation Committee, and sponsored legislation to support aviation growth and infrastructure development.
“I am honored to have been offered and accept the role of Executive Director of the Kentucky Aviation Association,” Dixon said. “Aviation plays a vital role in the economic development and connectivity of our Commonwealth, and I am committed to advancing the mission of the Association. I look forward to collaborating with aviation professionals, industry stakeholders, and State leaders to strengthen Kentucky’s aviation infrastructure and promote continued growth across the state.”
The KAA Board of Directors welcomes Dixon’s vision and leadership as the Association continues to support and advocate for a safe, connected, and prosperous aviation system in Kentucky.
